1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the FCL mobile application (Android package ID com.extraaaz.freightos), operated by Extraaaz (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

FCL is a native mobile shell for our logistics web platform at https://freightos.extraaaz.com.

2. What this app does

FCL displays our logistics web application inside a secure WebView and adds mobile-friendly features such as splash screen, offline messaging, downloads, document sharing, deep links, and optional camera / photo access for logistics workflows (for example proof of delivery and document uploads).

3. Information we collect

3.1 Account & business information

When you sign in, we process credentials and logistics-related data you enter or view through the platform (for example company profile, shipments, documents, and operational records). This is handled by the Extraaaz backend that powers freightos.extraaaz.com.

3.2 Information stored on your device

• Web session data — cookies and local storage used by the WebView so you can stay signed in and use the site normally.
• Downloaded files — documents you choose to download may be saved in the app’s local storage so you can open or share them.

3.3 Technical & connectivity information

• Network connectivity status (to show offline / retry screens).
• Basic diagnostic logs on non-production builds (sensitive values such as tokens and passwords are redacted where logging is used).

3.4 What we do not collect via the native shell today

• We do not sell your personal information.
• Push notification device tokens are not currently collected (Firebase / FCM is reserved for a future release).
• The app does not request precise location permission for tracking.
• The native shell does not use third-party advertising SDKs.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the FCL logistics experience on your device.
• Authenticate you and maintain your session with the web platform.
• Enable camera / photo library flows when you upload logistics documents or proof-of-delivery media.
• Download, open, and share files you request.
• Handle deep links that open specific screens inside the app.
• Improve reliability, security, and customer support.
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable.

5. Device permissions

Depending on your device and OS version, FCL may request:

• Internet / network state — required to load the platform and detect offline conditions.
• Camera — to capture logistics documents and proof-of-delivery photos when you choose to.
• Photos / media / storage — to select images or files for upload, and to handle downloads you initiate.
• Microphone (iOS) — only if you record video attachments that include audio for logistics workflows.
• Notifications — declared for future push messaging; not actively used until push notifications are enabled.

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.

6. Sharing & disclosure

We may share information only as needed to operate the service:

• Service providers that host or support the Extraaaz platform (for example cloud infrastructure), under appropriate safeguards.
• Your organisation — if you use FCL under a company account, authorised administrators of that organisation may access business data according to your company’s configuration.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

If you use the in-app share feature, the file you share is sent to the app or contact you select on your device. That destination is outside our control once sharing begins.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for network traffic to the Extraaaz platform and disable cleartext (non-HTTPS) traffic in the Android app configuration. Access to business data is protected by account authentication on the web platform.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please keep your login credentials confidential and use device lock features.

8. Data retention

Account and logistics data on the Extraaaz platform are retained according to your organisation’s settings and our platform retention practices. Local downloads and WebView session data remain on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the app, or delete those files.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. For requests related to your FCL / Extraaaz account, contact us using the details below. If you use FCL through an employer or customer organisation, you may also need to contact that organisation’s administrator.

10. Children’s privacy

FCL is a business logistics application and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of FCL after an update means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
